Janice Kertcher

Janice_Kertcher_ChillGrowing up in Brooklyn, Janice Kertcher was raised with a love for all things artistic. Everything from riding graffiti laced subway cars on her way to the Met to see classic operas such as La Boheme, to the salsa music blaring from the streets added to her appreciation for diverse and unique sounds.

From a very early age, Janice’s love for music was very apparent, as was her faith. Encouraged by her family and church, she began writing songs at the age of 13 which showcased her faith and told stories of hope in a life of brokenness.

Influenced by everything from classic jazz vocalists Sarah Vaughan and Nat King Cole to Incubus and Mariah Carey, her eclectic background and sound has made her a diverse artist. Her latest collection of songs features a diverse range of quirky yet bold lyrics set to an electropop synth symphony in the ranks of singing sensations Sia and Tove Lo.
