In 2020, as the world stood still, TAQA Entertainment faced a pivotal moment. Our roots were in music. But overnight, our entire customer base vanished. The pandemic didn't just close venues. It forced a reckoning.
From that disruption came clarity: our true mission was to cultivate global family closeness through entertainment that speaks to all generations. We didn't pivot reluctantly. We leaned in.
Enter Oli, a young elephant whose journey mirrors our own. In Oli's Congo River Run, he plays hide and seek with his family, only to lose them in the dense Congo. Driven by love and the need to reconnect, Oli overcomes every obstacle the river throws at him. His story became our story.
That first version of Oli's Congo River Run landed on Google Play and the Apple App Store with 1,500 downloads. A modest start. But a powerful proof of concept. We knew we had something real.
What followed was extraordinary. Artists, animators, programmers, and sound designers joined the team, many without the promise of pay, because they believed in what we were building. We rebuilt the game from the ground up. In 2022, Oli's Congo River Run 2 launched and the response was overwhelming.
Even when technical setbacks threatened our progress, build failures that caused the game to be removed from the Play Store for nearly a year, we persevered. With support from engineers and SBA funding, we brought Oli back stronger than ever.
Today, TAQA Entertainment is building a global community. From the U.S. to the UK, India, Bangladesh, Brazil, the Philippines, Pakistan, Africa, France and beyond. Oli's story touches hearts across every timezone and generation. Our Trans IP strategy is expanding the Oli Universe beyond gaming into books, apparel, and the experiences families share together.
